Committed Leadership for a Stronger Community.

Vote Candice Mushatt for 7th Ward City Council

Meet Candice

In 2023, I was appointed by the City Council to represent Flint's 7th ward for the remainder of the term. Within 5 months of service, I was voted to a leadership position within the council by my peers.

As the Director of the Flint Community Water Lab, the first of its kind in the nation, I teach Flint youth to test water from around the country, training the next generation of chemists and community advocates. I also help safeguard water.

I am the former Public Information Officer for the City of Flint and served as a legislative staffer with the Michigan House of Representatives. I have committed my life to ensuring residents are informed and see a change in real time.
